Where to Legally Watch Kamen Rider Outside Japan
Legal Kamen Rider access outside Japan is split across Toei YouTube, licensed streamers and discs. Availability and subtitles vary by territory.

You can legally watch selected Kamen Rider series outside Japan through Toei's official YouTube channels, Shout! Factory TV and its partner services, territory-specific simulcasts and licensed physical releases. There is still no single worldwide service with every season, so the correct answer depends on both the title and your country.
Toei's YouTube channel is the best free starting point
TOEI TOKUSATSU WORLD OFFICIAL is Toei's international YouTube home for tokusatsu. For Kamen Rider's 55th anniversary, the channel began full English-subtitled runs of Kamen Rider Agito and Kamen Rider Kabuto.
The schedule began with their first two episodes already available, followed by two episodes per week. Each newly released episode stays available for four weeks. That means the channel works more like a rotating broadcast catch-up service than a permanent box set.
Availability varies by region. A video visible in Canada may be blocked in Japan or in a market where another company holds local rights. YouTube's page for the episode is the final check; a global announcement does not override a territory restriction.
The same channel also carries first episodes, trailers and selected films or specials from other Toei heroes. Those uploads are useful previews, but the presence of episode one does not mean the full season is licensed there.
Shout! Factory covers several important seasons
In the United States, Shout! Factory TV has licensed English-subtitled Kamen Rider releases. Its catalogue has included Kamen Rider Ryuki, Kamen Rider Zero-One, Kamen Rider Kuuga and Kamen Rider Geats, with streams distributed through Shout's own service and free, advertising-supported partners.
Tubi currently maintains title pages for Ryuki and Zero-One, and its listings identify Shout! Factory TV as the provider. Catalogue status can change without a new press release, so search the service directly before starting a long watch.
Shout has also issued North American Blu-rays for selected seasons. A disc is often the most stable legal option because it is not removed when a streaming contract ends. Check the packaging for subtitle language, region compatibility and included films; a television-series set does not automatically contain every related special.
Current Rider simulcasts use different partners by territory
Kamen Rider ZEZTZ marked the franchise's first major same-season international push. Toei's official teaser listed planned broadcast or streaming across the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam and the Middle East and North Africa, with details supplied separately in each market.
For English-language North America, TokuSHOUTsu handled the YouTube presentation. Other regions used local broadcasters or channels. This is why a recommendation copied from an American guide may not work in Southeast Asia, and the reverse is also true.
For MY-TH and later seasons, check the current Kamen Rider Global and Toei channel notices close to the Japanese premiere. Future simulcasts have been discussed as part of Toei's international direction, but an exact platform should not be assumed before the territory list is published.
TTFC is comprehensive, but it is a Japanese service
The Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club, usually shortened to TTFC, carries a large Japanese library of Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Metal Hero and related spin-offs. It is the service most likely to contain a recent web special that never receives an immediate overseas licence.
TTFC should not be presented as a simple worldwide English alternative. Registration, payment, app access and content availability are built for the Japanese market, and English subtitles are not standard across its archive. It is legal, but it may not solve the problem an English-speaking viewer is trying to solve.
Amazon titles and Japanese Prime are not the same catalogue
Some standalone productions, including modern reimaginings, have received international Prime Video releases in selected regions. Japan's Prime Video catalogue is much larger. Toei announced that 146 Kamen Rider television, film, V-Cinema and streaming works would join Japanese Prime from August 29, 2026, with Geats following on September 1.
That announcement is specifically about Japan. A Prime subscription in Britain, Canada or the United States does not automatically include the Japanese catalogue. Search the local title page and check whether it is included, rentable or unavailable.
There is no legal complete-franchise shortcut
Many Heisei and Reiwa seasons still lack a permanent English-subtitled release in major Western markets. Search results sometimes point to unlicensed upload sites or downloads described as fan archives. Their completeness does not make them authorised.
A practical legal watch plan is:
- Start with the official Toei YouTube rotations if Agito or Kabuto is available in your region.
- Check Shout! Factory TV, Tubi and other licensed free services for Ryuki, Zero-One and Geats.
- Use licensed Blu-ray for a season you want to keep.
- Follow the official global account for current-series territory announcements.
- Treat every catalogue as temporary and verify it before recommending it to someone else.
The legal picture is better than it was a few years ago, especially for weekly discovery. It remains fragmented, and a good guide should say so plainly rather than promise a service that does not exist in the reader's country.
Check the rights holder before starting a long series
A legal listing should identify the service, territory and title clearly. YouTube channel names can be copied, and search results can keep expired pages visible. Use Toei's official links or a recognised licensed distributor, then confirm that episode one and the later playlist are available in your country.
This extra check matters for a 40- or 50-episode commitment. It prevents a viewer from confusing a temporary promotional upload with a permanent catalogue or assuming that another region's subscription includes the same Rider seasons.
