ZEZTZ Exdream Explained — The Final Form & Driver
What Kamen Rider Zeztz Exdream actually is: the near-death origin of the Exdream Driver, the twenty subjective years inside Baku's own dream, and why the final form spent Cases 45-46 protecting rather than fighting.

Kamen Rider Zeztz Exdream is Baku Yorozu's final form, and unlike a lot of Rider power-ups, its origin isn't a new gadget handed down from an ally — it's something Baku builds himself, the hard way.
Where the Exdream Driver comes from
During a near-death experience, the original ZEZTZ Driver is broken. Rather than being replaced, it gets rebuilt from the inside: Baku spends what plays out as twenty subjective years remodeling it while trapped in his own dream. When the work is finished and Baku wakes, the Driver has physically evolved into the Zeztz Exdream Driver in the real world along with him. It's the same "dream event has real-world consequences" logic Case 1 established with the original Driver, just taken much further.
What the upgrade actually does
The Exdream Driver draws on extradimensional power to let Baku intervene directly in dreams from outside them — a capability the base Driver doesn't have. That distinction matters for how the final act of the series plays out: earlier in the show, Baku has to physically enter a dream to fight inside it. With Exdream, he can act on a dream-space from the real world, reshaping it rather than storming it.
Why Exdream is a guardian in Cases 45–46, not a brawler
That reshaping ability is exactly what's on screen in Cases 45–46. When Nem is trapped in a nested illusion built by The Lady, Baku can't just break in and fight — a sealed dream doesn't work that way for him even as Exdream. Instead, Exdream spends both episodes guiding and protecting from the outside: intervening in Case 45 to punch back the Oblivion Gore Nightmare, then quietly reshaping the empty version of the real world in Case 46 so Nem can find her own way out. It's a noticeably different job than the straightforward monster-of-the-week fights the form started out doing when it debuted earlier in the summer. Full recap: ZEZTZ Cases 45–46 Explained.
